The Voice of Present & Future Generations
Green Hope Foundation is an ECOSOC-accredited youth-led Not-for-Profit. It is headquartered in Canada and has operations in 28 countries with an outreach of over half a million people. The organization was founded by Kehkashan Basu, M.S.M., MBA at the age of 12 in 2012.
The anthropogenic impacts of climate change and biodiversity loss disproportionately affect regions and communities least responsible for it. Green Hope Foundation’s actions are therefore driven through a human and planetary lens, built on the pillars of empathy, compassion and collaboration.
Green Hope Foundation harnesses clean energy technology to deliver Education for Sustainable Development as a transformative tool to empower youth and adults alike, providing them with the knowledge, skills, attitudes and behaviours to think and act for a sustainable future. Additionally, the organization uses innovative communication modes of Art, Music, Dance, Drama, Sport, Eco-Fashion and Writing, as well as STEM education in their interactive workshops and conferences, and supplement these with ground level action campaigns that target the accelerated implementation of the 17 Sustainable Development Goals.
The issues that we focus on are Climate Action, Land Degradation, Clean Water & Sanitation, Sustainable Consumption and Production, Biodiversity Conservation, Clean Energy and rebuilding better for a sustainable future.
